Western coast of Cantabria

The Western Coast of Cantabria starts from the Rio Deva (border with Asturias). It is a region with a great historical and artistic heritage, with towns of great beauty both on the coast (San Vicente de la Barquera, Comillas) and in the interior of its mountains (Barcena Mayor, or Vega del Pas).
Nature is like Asturias one of the strong points of the West of Cantabria, with its many beaches, the Natural Park of Oyambre, the Picos de Europa, with the majestic cable car to Fuente De.
The cultural weight of this area is carried by the Cave and Museum of Altamira (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Zoo and Botanical Garden, the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana and Cloister of Santillana del Mar. Santillana del Mar at the same time perfectly preserves A medieval core.
In the town of Comillas is the Pontifical University of Comillas, the El Capricho de Gaudi Building, and the Sobrellano Palace.
One of the most visited attractions in Cantabria is the Fuente De cable car, with modern cabins of up to 20 passengers, you can save a drop of 753 meters in 3 minutes, to observe the immensity of a glacier valley from its viewpoint.
For all this, it is another place to visit from the Teresa Vacation Homes, since in 15 minutes by car you can reach Cantabria, in 24 minutes to towns such as San Vicente de la Barquera.
